Volleyball Recap: Kempsville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Kempsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Tallwood Lions. The Chiefs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Kelsey Coronato paced Kempsville's offense, picking up 14 kills. Coronato got some help from Trinity Riordan and her 15 assists. Riordan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Kempsville's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Tallwood, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 6-8.

Kempsville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Kellam on the 30th. As for Tallwood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Salem on the 30th.
