Basketball Game Preview: Kountze Lions vs. Westwood Panthers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions face off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Kountze's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 22 matches.

Kountze is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past East Bernard 88-44. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 29 games by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Westwood had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.3 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They walked away with a 63-53 victory over the Wildcats.

Westwood's win bumped their record up to 22-7. As for Kountze, their victory bumped their record up to 34-2.

Kountze didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Westwood in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, but they still walked away with an 80-74 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Westwood's Kavian Bryant, who dropped a double-double with 55 points and ten boards.
