Volleyball Recap: Dutch Fork Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road + How To Watch

Dutch Fork's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Irmo Yellow Jackets by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Dutch Fork had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-17, 25-14, 25-15.

Dutch Fork can attribute much of their success to Macey Rodgeres-Pedersen, who had seven digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Rodgeres-Pedersen a new career-high. Paige Mundy also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Dutch Fork was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They are 3-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Dutch Fork's victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 6-11. As for Irmo, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17-1.

As of now, neither Dutch Fork nor the Yellow Jackets have any future games scheduled.
