Soccer Recap: Presbyterian Christian Comes Up Short

If Presbyterian Christian was riding high fresh off their 6-0 takedown of St. Joseph Catholic last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Presbyterian Christian Bobcats lost 6-1 to the Jackson Academy Raiders on Thursday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on January 7th.

Their goal came courtesy of Preston Sackler, who's now up to 11 this season.

Presbyterian Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5-1 record this season. As for Jackson Academy, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Presbyterian Christian has already played their next game (against Madison-Ridgeland Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Jackson Academy will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Jackson Prep at 7:00 p.m.
