Volleyball Recap: Corydon Central Panthers vs. Evansville Christian Eagles

Corydon Central saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Evansville Christian Eagles. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brookyn Simpson paced Corydon Central's offense, picking up six kills. Simpson got some help from Khloe Kraft and her 14 assists.

Leading Evansville Christian to victory were Jocee Weisenborn and Allie Foreman. Weisenborn had six digs and four aces, while Foreman had eight assists and four digs. Weisenborn has been hot recently, having posted four or more aces the last three times she's played.

Corydon Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Evansville Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

Looking ahead, Corydon Central will face off against Brownstown Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Evansville Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Southwestern on the 13th.
