Softball Recap: Austintown-Fitch Falcons vs. Mayfield Wildcats

Austintown-Fitch can now show off 15 landslide victories after their most recent game on Wednesday. They beat the Mayfield Wildcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 18-0. Winning may never get old, but Austintown-Fitch sure is getting used to it with their 13th in a row.

Ayla Ray was a standout: she went 2-for-2 with a home run, five RBI, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Abby Toth, who went 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Austintown-Fitch pushed their record up to 17-1 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Mayfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-23.

Austintown-Fitch has the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Green at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Austintown-Fitch knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with flashy run totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Green likes a good challenge.
