Basketball Recap: Clark's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Clark had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 52-49 win from a begrudging Cougars squad. That result was just more of the same for these two, as they also won the last time the pair played back in January.

When it comes to explaining why LEE lost, don't look at Rosanelly Pastrano. Despite the final result, she went 11 for 20 on her way to 28 points and five rebounds. Pastrano's evening made it 18 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. AUDREY VILLARREAL was another key player, putting up five points and five rebounds.

Clark pushed their record up to 8-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for LEE, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-6.

Clark will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Churchill at 10:00 a.m. on December 31st. Churchill knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully Clark likes a good challenge. LEE will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Brandeis at 11:30 a.m. on December 31st.
