Basketball Game Preview: Paulding Panthers vs. Bryan Golden Bears

Paulding hasn't had much luck against Bryan recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Panthers will take on the Golden Bears at 7:30 p.m. Bryan took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Paulding, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Paulding strolled past Lincolnview with points to spare, taking the game 44-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Paulding's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Estie Pease, who went 8-for-14 to rack up 17 points. Those 17 points gave Pease a new career-high. Kayleigh Dunham was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with ten rebounds and nine blocks.

Meanwhile, Bryan came up short against Wayne Trace on Tuesday and fell 46-37.

Paulding's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Bryan, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Paulding beat Bryan 47-40 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
