Lutheran took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mt. Olive Wildcats, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Crusaders have posted against the Wildcats since November 3, 2016.

Lutheran had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-19, 27-25.

Mt. Olive's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Lutheran will be taking part in a tournament against Metro-East Lutheran at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mt. Olive, they are taking a road trip to take on Calvary at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
