Basketball Recap: Opp Triumphs

Opp won the last time they faced McKenzie, and Dionna Stoudemire did her part to make sure it happened again. The Opp Bobcats came out on top against the McKenzie Tigers by a score of 47-39 on Monday thanks in part to Stoudemire, who went 6 of 8 on her way to 17 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kianna Barnes, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 13 points and six rebounds. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played.

Opp now has a winning record of 6-5. As for McKenzie, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Opp and Bullock County will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for McKenzie, they will take on Elba at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
