Basketball Recap: Effingham County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Effingham County extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-5. They were beaten by the Glynn Academy Terrors 63-15. The Rebels lost against the Terrors in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 56-41 score last time.

Jordynn Lee was Effingham County's leading scorer, having posted six points.

As for Glynn Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Alyssa Martin was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double with 14 points, 13 boards, and ten steals. Those ten steals gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Faith Jernigan, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Effingham County will challenge South Effingham at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Glynn Academy, they will square off against Ware County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
