Basketball Recap: Christian Community's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Christian Community was feeling good fresh off their 49-14 takedown of Horizon Science Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Christian Community Warriors took a 40-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Center Christian Tiger. The Warriors were up 16-2 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

When it comes to explaining why Christian Community lost on Thursday, don't look at Anna Blumfeldt. Despite the final result, she posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyla Miller, who had ten points and six boards.

Christian Community's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9. As for Lake Center Christian, they moved to 2-13 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Christian Community will welcome Open Door Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lake Center Christian, they will head out to challenge North at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lake Center Christian is facing North at the right time seeing as North is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
