While Abigail Quintero delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for South Hills. Quintero turned in her biggest game of the season, striking out seven batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Quintero and South Hills will square off against Schurr at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans will enter the matchup having just beaten Montebello, so the Huskies will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
