Taconic took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Central, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Thunder sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Golden Eagles on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Taconic's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Central, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Coming up, Taconic will look to defend their home field on Monday against West Springfield at 4:00 p.m. As for Central, they will head out to face off against Newton North at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
