Orting's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Sequim Wolves as they made off with a 14-4 victory. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.
Orting let Khloe Smith and Addison Creighton run wild. Smith went 3-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and one double, while Creighton got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one double. Those four runs gave Creighton a new career-high. Norah Fenton was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs.
Orting's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-10. As for Sequim, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Orting didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-1 defeat against Port Angeles on the 15th. Sequim does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
