Slaton took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Dimmitt, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bobcats 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Bobcats back in March, they had to take a 11-1 defeat.

Slaton's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Riley Martinez, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Thomas Cardenas also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Slaton's victory bumped their record up to 6-15-1. As for Dimmitt, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Slaton nor Dimmitt have any future games scheduled.
