Basketball Recap: Shannon Takes a Loss

Shannon lost against Tishomingo County back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Shannon Red Raiders had to suffer through a 75-27 loss at the hands of the Tishomingo County Braves. While losing is never fun, the Red Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Braves are ranked eighth).

Shannon dropped their record down to 7-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Tishomingo County, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 19-0.

Shannon has already played their next contest (against Ripley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Tishomingo County has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Tupelo.
