Basketball Recap: Ganado Indians vs. Weimar Wildcats
The Ganado Indians lost against the Weimar Wildcats back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Ganado fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 36-34. Ganado has not had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isabel Tristan, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Tristan is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aileen Zavala, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Ganado's defeat dropped their record down to 13-18. As for Weimar, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-14.
Ganado will head out on the road to face off against the Bobcats/Lady Cats at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bloomington has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Weimar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
