Football Recap: Mifflin County Comes Up Short

In Friday's Canine Competition, Mifflin County had to take the L. They took a 21-6 bruising from the Shippensburg Greyhounds on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Greyhounds: they've now lost three in a row.

Chase Hartung threw for 155 yards and one touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. Joel Beamer was his top target, picking up 64 receiving yards and one TD.

Mark Carothers had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 100 yards and a pair of scores for Shippensburg.

Mifflin County now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Shippensburg, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Mifflin County has already played their next matchup, an 8-6 win against Palmyra on the 26th. As for Shippensburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 23-20 victory against Lower Dauphin on the 25th.
