Soccer Game Preview: Bishop Watterson vs. Independence

The Bishop Watterson Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Independence 76ers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Bishop Watterson fell victim to Anthony Wayne and their airtight defense on Saturday. They fell just short of the Generals by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Mifflin.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-1. As for Bishop Watterson, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5-3.

Bishop Watterson suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Independence when the teams last played back in October of 2017. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
