Jacob DeVincenzo put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in February on Tuesday. He struck out four batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Coming up, DeVincenzo and Poly will venture away from home to challenge Paloma Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 186 places lower in California), but they're not letting that get them down.
