Baseball Game Preview: Arvada Bulldogs vs. Middle Park Panthers

The Arvada Bulldogs will challenge the Middle Park Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Arvada is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, Arvada needed a bit of extra time to put away Fort Lupton. They skirted past the Bluedevils 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since March 10th.

Cameron Henderson and Asher Buehrle made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Henderson struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Meanwhile, Buehrle tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the most strikeouts Henderson has posted since back in May of 2024. At the plate, Henderson got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run, while Buehrle went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Arvada is 5-1 when Henderson posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-3 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isaac Martinez, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI. Ramon Corpus was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Middle Park fell victim to Bennett and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 8-0. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Middle Park's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Arvada, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-4.
