Ponderosa unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to the Pleasant Valley Vikings on Friday. The Bruins have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-11, 25-27, 25-18.

Coming up, Ponderosa will head out to challenge Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pleasant Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Woodcreek on the 22nd.
