Volleyball Recap: Andrean Picks Up Tenth Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Andrean, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They put the hurt on the Hammond Central Wolves with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The Fighting 59ers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolves, too.

Andrean got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 30-14, 25-24.

Andrean can attribute much of their success to Max Szymanski, who had 14 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Szymanski has posted since back in May of 2024.

Andrean pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Hammond Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Andrean will head out to take on Kouts at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hammond Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hobart at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
