Basketball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Matanzas

Matanzas had won three straight home games dating back to last season and Ruby Fogel did her part to make it four on Tuesday. The Matanzas Pirates breezed by the Trinity Christian Academy Eagles to the tune of 49-4 thanks in part to Fogel, who posted 20 points. Those 20 points gave her a new career-high.

Matanzas is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 40.7 points. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Matanzas will welcome Father Lopez at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Brantley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Christian Academy is facing Lake Brantley at the right time seeing as Lake Brantley is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
