The Disney II Titans will head out to challenge Ogden International at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Disney II is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
Disney II will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Steinmetz College Prep on Tuesday. The Titans were the clear victors by a 13-4 margin over the Silver Streaks. The game was the first time the Titans have beaten the Silver Streaks on their field since April 28, 2023.
Maximus Sanchez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Disney II is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-11 otherwise. Sanchez was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, Disney II let Marcus Grier and Cesar Urquieta run wild. Grier got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs, while Urquieta got on base in three of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Disney II is 6-2 when Grier posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-9 otherwise. Avery Coughlin was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Disney II always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Steinmetz College Prep only posted an OBP of .355.
Meanwhile, Ogden International and Simeon squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Ogden International had to settle for second. They lost 9-3 to the Wolverines.
Luis Antigua made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Johncarlos German, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.
Ogden International has been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for Disney II, their record is now 10-11.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Disney II has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .529. However, it's not like Ogden International struggles in that department as they've averaged .441. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Disney II might still be hurting after the 21-1 loss they got from Ogden International when the teams last played back in May of 2021. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
