The Milwaukee Lutheran Red Knights will finish 2023 at home by hosting the North Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Milwaukee Lutheran's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Milwaukee Lutheran pushed their score all the way to 80 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 87-80 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kettle Moraine Lutheran.
The losing side was boosted by Isaiah Allen, who scored 27 points along with seven rebounds. He scored a full 33.8% of Milwaukee Lutheran's points, the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Xavier Allen, who scored 11 points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, North scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 91-47 win over Fuller Collegiate Academy at home. Considering North has won three matches by more than 20 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Milwaukee Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for North, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-6.
