Recap: Caldwell Academy vs. Forsyth Country Day Furies
Caldwell Academy lost against the Forsyth Country Day Furies back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Caldwell Academy fell 53-43 to Forsyth Country Day.
Leading Forsyth Country Day to victory were Gigi Lyons and Lila Kelly. Lyons scored 21 points, while Kelly scored 22 points. Kelly continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Kusnic, who scored nine points.
Caldwell Academy bumped their record down to 5-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.3 points per game. As for Forsyth Country Day, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
Caldwell Academy will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Wesleyan Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. As for Forsyth Country Day, they will head out on the road to face off against Calvary Day School at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
