Football Recap: Briggsdale Takes a Loss

Briggsdale lost against Caliche back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Falcons took a blow against the Buffaloes, falling 56-18. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-6.

Scot Francis threw for 46 yards and one touchdown. Asael Jimenez was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards and one TD.

Briggsdale dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Caliche, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Briggsdale will host Deer Trail at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last five games. As for Caliche, they will head out to square off against Fleming at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Buffaloes' defense better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 29.3 points per game this season.
