Basketball Recap: Mt. Olive Comes Up Short

Mt. Olive lost against South Fork back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mt. Olive Wildcats fell 53-41 to the South Fork Ponies. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mt. Olive's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-4. As for South Fork, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Mt. Olive will be home for the holidays to greet New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Fork, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-43 win against Warrensburg-Latham on the 14th.
