Softball Recap: Terre Haute North Vigo Drops Highest Score of Season Against Parke Heritage

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Terre Haute North Vigo). They blew past the Parke Heritage Wolves 23-0 on Monday. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Kyleigh Walker made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Walker was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Terre Haute North Vigo got a massive performance out of Kyanna Gardner, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Emma Morrison was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.

Terre Haute North Vigo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Terre Haute North Vigo's record now sits at 11-4. As for Parke Heritage, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Terre Haute North Vigo will face off against North Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots are facing the Thunderbirds at the right time seeing as the Thunderbirds are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Parke Heritage, they will take on Cloverdale at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
