Baseball Recap: Mountain View Mavericks vs. Capital Golden Eagles

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Mountain View ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Capital Golden Eagles. Winning may never get old, but the Mavericks sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Davey Green tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.
