Basketball Recap: Logan Takes a Loss

Logan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost to the Sky View Bobcats at home by a 64-47 margin. The Grizzlies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Logan still got an impressive performance from Ethan Woolley, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Woolley a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Reed Olsen, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Sky View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chance Wilson led the charge by going 6 of 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 18 points. Liam Guthrie was another key player, going 6 for 13 en route to 17 points.

Logan's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Sky View, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

When Logan and Sky View next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Logan will challenge Green Canyon and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Sky View will try to stop Ridgeline's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
