Saint James is ranked highly in their home state and on Monday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Geneseo. Saint James skirted past Geneseo 7-6. With that victory, the Trojans brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Peyton Middleton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 13 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Emily Darby was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 16 matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Arden Green, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Saint James' win bumped their record up to 20-3.

Saint James didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-1 loss against Giles County on the 18th. As for Geneseo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-2 defeat against Dickson County on the 17th.
