Flag Football Recap: Ashley Perdomo Leads Lafayette's Defense on Thursday

LaFayette's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Dalton Academy Pumas a 6-0 shutout. The Ramblers haven't had any issues with the Pumas recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

LaFayette found their leader in sophomore Emma Brown, who rushed for 47 yards and one TD.

LaFayette's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Ashley Perdomo. She also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with ten.

LaFayette's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Dalton Academy, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. LaFayette is set to square off against their familiar foe Ringgold at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dalton Academy will challenge rival Gilmer at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
