Volleyball Recap: Center Point Comes Up Short

Center Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Harper Longhorns, falling 3-0. The Pirates were not able to make up for their defeat to the Longhorns from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-14.

Cobee Beckerson paced Center Point's offense, picking up five kills. Beckerson got some help from Kaylani Ritter and her eight assists. Beckerson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Isela Martinez, each putting up two.

Center Point's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Harper, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-13.

Coming up, Center Point will take on Junction at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Harper, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sonora at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
