Softball Game Preview: Huron Chiefs vs. Riverview Pirates

The Huron Chiefs will face off against the Riverview Pirates at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Monday, Huron came up short against Airport and fell 6-1.

Meanwhile, Riverview put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Flat Rock as they made off with a 19-8 victory. The Pirates' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Riverview pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Huron, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went Huron's way against Riverview when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Huron made off with an 11-0 win. Do the Chiefs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
