Basketball Game Preview: Santiago Cavaliers vs. Estancia Eagles

The Santiago Cavaliers will take on the Estancia Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Estancia took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Santiago, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Santiago turned things around against Rancho Alamitos on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Vaqueros with a sharp 51-27 win. The Cavaliers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Estancia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against Los Amigos, falling 72-30. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1197th, while the Lobos are ranked 468th).

Santiago's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Estancia, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-18.

Everything came up roses for Santiago against Estancia in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 64-21 win. Does Santiago have another victory up their sleeve, or will Estancia turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
