Basketball Recap: Wildwood Catholic Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Wildwood Catholic won the last time they faced Atlantic City and things went their way on Saturday too. The Wildwood Catholic Crusaders took down the Atlantic City Vikings 55-41. Given the Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Vikings are ranked 150th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Atlantic City's loss came despite strong showings from Taison Parker and Eileen Roach. Parker went 6-for-13 to rack up 14 points and seven boards, while Roach went 6-for-11 en route to 13 points. That's the most points Roach has posted since back in January.

Wildwood Catholic's victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points over those games. As for Atlantic City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.

As of now, neither Wildwood Catholic nor Atlantic City have any future games scheduled.
