Basketball Recap: Quincy Comes Up Short

Quincy lost against Biggs back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Quincy Trojans fell to the Biggs Wolverines 58-54.

Biggs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hudson Brewer led the charge by going 9 for 15 on his way to 22 points. Brady Smith was another key player, going 6 for 15 on his way to 16 points and five assists.

Quincy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Biggs, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quincy will challenge Portola at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Portola knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Quincy likes a good challenge. As for Biggs, they will venture away from home to take on Hamilton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
