Baseball Recap: Schuyler County Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Schuyler County's offense. They fell just short of the Green City Gophers by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Rams were not able to get on the board.

Schuyler County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elliot Sevits, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base. Sevits has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Schuyler County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Green City, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Schuyler County will take on Marceline at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Green City, they will face off against Atlanta at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
