Soccer Recap: Marengo Comes Up Short

The matchup between Marengo and Richmond-Burton on Wednesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Indians came up short against the Rockets, falling 8-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Richmond-Burton this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 last Wednesday.

Marengo's loss dropped their record down to 7-6-1. As for Richmond-Burton, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marengo will host Westminster Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Richmond-Burton, they will look to defend their home pitch on the 10th against Cary-Grove at 11:30 a.m.
