The Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the ABF Academy Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. ABF Academy took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Schoolhouse Prep, who comes in off a win.
On Tuesday, Schoolhouse Prep was able to grind out a solid win over Coral Park, taking the game 8-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolfpack.
Victor Bosquez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Schoolhouse Prep is 4-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 5-6 otherwise.

At the plate, Schoolhouse Prep got a big performance out of Rene Dun, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three hits gave Dun a new career-high. Jose Uzcategui was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Schoolhouse Prep hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five strikeouts batters in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, ABF Academy came up short against Archbishop McCarthy on Thursday, falling 11-1. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
ABF Academy also got a good showing from Ariel Rivera, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Rivera has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Brandon Ortiz was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run.
ABF Academy now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Schoolhouse Prep, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Schoolhouse Prep took their victory against ABF Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 13-1 score. Do the Wolfpack have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cowboys turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
