After low-scoring totals in their previous five game, Burlington brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Essex Hornets 4-3. Considering Burlington's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Burlington's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4-1 and their overall record up to 2-5-1. As for Essex, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-4-1 record this season.
