Baseball Recap: Sonora Triumphs

Sonora gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the McQueen Lancers. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 7-6 win the Lancers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2017.

Anthony Abad was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Elijah Pasillas also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Sonora now has a winning record of 6-5. As for McQueen, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7-1.

Sonora has already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Spanish Springs on the 19th. As for McQueen, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-5 win against Sunny Hills on the 18th.
