Basketball Game Preview: Stoughton Black Knights vs. King Philip Regional Warriors

The Stoughton Black Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the King Philip Regional Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Sunday, Stoughton came up short against Archbishop Williams and fell 67-60. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (57), the Black Knights still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, King Philip Regional was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 66-62 to Taunton.

King Philip Regional has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Stoughton, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Stoughton couldn't quite finish off King Philip Regional when the teams last played back in January of 2024 and fell 60-57. Can Stoughton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
