Basketball Game Preview: Boonville Pioneers vs. Evansville Day Eagles

The Boonville Pioneers will take on the Evansville Day Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Boonville is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Boonville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 43-38 to Heritage Hills. While the Pioneers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Patriots 15-9 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Evansville Day was beaten by Wood Memorial 74-39 last Friday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 397th, while the Trojans are ranked 151st).

Evansville Day's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Boonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Boonville strolled past Evansville Day in their previous matchup back in December of 2019 by a score of 62-43. Will Boonville repeat their success, or does Evansville Day have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
