Football Recap: Boron Starts Season with Loss at Home

Boron unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 28-14 bruising from the Oakland Wildcats on Friday.

Loss or not, Boron got some senior leadership from Andrew Gartica and Jalen York. Gartica picked up 146 receiving yards and two scores, while York threw for 233 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Boron and Oakland will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Bobcats see the field they'll take on Arvin at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Oakland, their break will end when they face Ripon at 7:30 p.m. on September 5.
