Soccer Game Preview: Woodlake vs. Del Oro

The Woodlake Tigers will take on the Del Oro Suns at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Friday, Woodlake and Strathmore finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Woodlake's goal came courtesy of Eliseo Cendejas, who's now up to nine this season.

Meanwhile, Del Oro came up short against Mira Monte on Friday and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, the Suns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 817th, while the Lions are ranked 176th).

This is the second loss in a row for Del Oro and nudges their season record down to 6-6-5. With that draw, Woodlake's record moves to 9-4-3.
