Basketball Recap: Moriarty Comes Up Short

Moriarty came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 59-23 defeat at the hands of the Espanola Valley Sundevils. The game marked the Pintos' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Moriarty has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for Espanola Valley, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-8.

Coming up, Moriarty will face off against Taos at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Espanola Valley, they will challenge Los Alamos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Espanola Valley is facing Los Alamos at the right time seeing as Los Alamos is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
